We were given the most incredible setting for this event and many thanks to the Scouts Association for allowing us this area. Stuart Hancox won the day with a course clearance, closely followed by Andy Calpin (Anston) and Chris Bristow(Springfield) on 49. A few other good scores from Bobby Banks and James Osborne on 48. Not an easy course.

It was a short course - set up by Dave Fairhurst and Terry Almond - just showing that these Apprentice pensioners still can do a bit:) In A Grade Robert Walker from ETL took the honours with 46 Two points clear of the chasing pack of three on 44.In B Grade Tevor Davie from Westfield took the honours with a 43 with Mark Brewitt and Andy Coleman just 1 place behind.C Grade Paul O'Hanlon (Millride) on 36 again two points clear of the pack Mark Thomas and Dean Jukes.

Piston Class - with a score of 39 was won by Ben Newman follwed by the gang - Nick Murphy and Matt Hirst. We have been promoting Sporter FT in this region and it shows. It was won by Steve Hughes - Tawd Vale (The one that can shoot not the "opinionated one" that does all t'internet stuff. - ) ) on 38 - one point clear of Ian Harford on 37 (He's getting good that lad - one to watch!)  then another newcomer from Tawd - our very own Darren Taylor on 36. Who had been on site since Friday practicing with "ciggies and beer and deckchairs".

Thanks to all those who attended we worked very hard with our new venue and hoped that you enjoyed it. Great day and a fantastic course according to many. Thanks to all who attended and a bigger thanks to all that set the course and organised the day.

Best wishes for the rest of the season and I hope all travelled home safely.

From Team Tawd.
